Here, careful consideration is given to the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.
In cases in which personal data (and user data) is collected beyond the contractual purpose or to protect our legitimate interests, you as the user must actively consent to this use. This consent can be revoked at any time with immediate effect. To do so, simply send us an e-mail to dsb[at]lhg.com.
What data is stored?
What data is stored? Every access to our homepage and every retrieval of a file stored on the homepage is logged. The storage serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. The following are logged: page from which the file was requested (so-called referrer URL), name of the file accessed, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, web browser and requesting domain. In addition, the IP addresses of the requesting computers are logged.
Further personal data is only recorded if you provide this information voluntarily, for example as part of an inquiry or registration, or send us an email.
Some of the websites use so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are transmitted to your computer from the Internet together with the data actually requested. This data is stored there and made available for later retrieval.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow the storage of cookies in individual cases, accept cookies for certain cases or generally exclude them and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the usability of the website may be partially restricted.
Purposes of processing personal data
If the opportunity for the input of personal or business data (email addresses, name, addresses) is given, the input of this data takes place on an expressly voluntary basis. This data is processed and stored exclusively for the purposes stated at the point of entry. Here, too, your data will be treated confidentially and will not be passed on to third parties. A link with the access data mentioned above does not take place. The same applies if you send us information by email.
A transfer to other third parties, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, does not take place.
Is data transmitted to third parties?
Your personal data will only be passed on or transmitted to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of contract processing, if this is necessary for billing purposes or if you have given your prior consent. You have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
We use programs from the following providers to improve the user experience or optimize the design of the content:
We use OpenStreetMap for the maps on our website. This map service is provided by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom.
Every time a user accesses a corresponding page, data is retrieved from OSM caching servers and displayed in the browser. At the same time, data is also sent to these servers and temporarily processed in a log file. In detail, the following data is stored for each access/retrieval:
- Date and time of retrieval (time stamp) and the IP address of the accessing device or server,
- Request details and target address (protocol version, HTTP method, referrer, user agent string),
- Name of the retrieved file and amount of data transferred (requested URL including query string, size in bytes) and
- Message whether the retrieval was successful (HTTP status code).
This log data is stored for a certain period of time. They are used for statistical evaluation, error analysis and defense against attacks. The processing of the IP address is necessary to enable communication on the Internet. To do this, data must get from the server on which it is stored to the connected computer that wants to access the content.
The current data protection declaration of OpenStreetMap:
Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft mbH uses YouTube, which is privacy-friendly because the videos are only loaded after the user has given their consent. When using YouTube, Google also collects, processes and uses data about the use of YouTube by visitors. Further information about data processing by Google can be found in the Google data protection information. There you can also change your personal data protection settings in the data protection center.
You can find detailed instructions on how to manage your own data in connection with Google products here.
This internet site is hosted on servers of the company IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur. The administration is carried out as a "managed server" by IONOS SE. This also applies to the storage and processing of log files. The above-mentioned storage of the IP addresses is initially complete for 7 days. After this period, the IP addresses in the log files are anonymised. If 1&1 offers configuration options for data-saving use, we use them. Further details can be found in the data protection declaration of 1&1. data protection declaration of 1&1.
In order to be able to evaluate and, if necessary, improve the use of the Internet offers, statistics are collected using the internally installed program package Matomo (formerly Piwik). In contrast to other evaluation services, all data remains exclusively on the IONOS servers rented by Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft mbH and is not passed on to external service providers.
The logged IP addresses are anonymized for the evaluation. Matomo (formerly Piwik) calculates an anonymous user ID from the collected data and then sets a cookie on the calling computer.
Only if you have agreed to the use of Matomo will the following data be saved when you visit one of our websites:
- IP address (anonymized)
- User ID (pseudonymized)
- Date and time of the request
- Page title of the opened web page
- URL of the opened web page
- Previous URL (Referrer URL)
- screen resolution
- User's local time
- Clicks on download links
- Clicks on external links
- Duration of the request (time from server to user)
- Geo data:
- Longitude and latitude (estimated)
- Browser language (Accept-Language header)
- Browser identifier (User-Agent header)
The data is stored for a period of 180 days.
Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft sends out e-mail newsletters at irregular intervals. By subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to us sending you promotional e-mails and statistically evaluating usage. We only send with the consent of the recipient for the purposes specified in the consent or on the basis of a legal permit.
If you would like to receive our newsletter, we need an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter.
We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to ensure that the newsletter is sent in a consensual manner. In the course of this, the potential recipient can be included in a mailing list. The user then receives a confirmation e-mail with the opportunity to confirm the registration in a legally secure manner. The address will only be actively included in the mailing list if the confirmation is received.
We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and offers.
Newsletter2Go is used as the newsletter software. Your data will be transmitted to Newsletter2Go GmbH. Newsletter2Go is prohibited from selling your data and using it for purposes other than sending newsletters. Newsletter2Go is a German, certified provider, which was selected according to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Federal Data Protection Act.
You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter.
The data protection measures are always subject to technical innovations, for this reason we ask you to inform yourself about our data protection measures at regular intervals by inspecting our data protection declaration.
With the logged double opt-in procedure, we ensure that nobody can register with someone else's e-mail address. In order to be able to prove this, the registrations are logged on the basis of our legitimate interests with the time of registration and confirmation as well as the sender IP address. Changes to the shipping data are also logged. It is sufficient if you enter your e-mail address, further data is optional or can be pseudonymised. We would be happy to provide you with the legal basis (consent or legal permission).
You can cancel the receipt of the newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. You will find the corresponding link to cancel the newsletter at the end of each newsletter. In order to be able to prove a previously given consent, we can store the unsubscribed e-mail addresses for up to three more years out of legitimate interest, after which they will be deleted. Immediate deletion is possible if the existence of consent is confirmed.
