Seelandterminal - Check-In
Unaccompanied truck traffic
northbound
- The driver of an unaccompanied vehicle parks his vehicle in the port’s parking area and reports to the check-in point. If he does not already have his loading documents, he will be issued with them here. Otherwise he can drive directly to the gate and scanner.
- Only those delivering general cargo or large machinery plant will need to wait. Cars, trailers and container deliveries will be able to pass through immediately.
- After the driver has passed through the scanner, he registers his arrival with the gate keeper and will receive a pass.
- Photographs of the vehicle and its automatically collated registration details are displayed on a monitor in the gate office.
- The gate keeper will allocate a parking slot in the port where the driver is to park his vehicle
- Afterwards, the driver is able to leave the port area directly via marked lanes and the exit gate, where he needs to tell the gate keeper that he is leaving.
southbound
- The driver is required to hand the completed and signed pass (with TIN registration) to the gate personnel, then collects his load and drives to the gate keeper at the exit gate.
- Once he has been signed out, the exit barrier opens and the driver and his load can leave the port area.
Other loads
The procedures for other types of both northbound and southbound loads are much the same as for unaccompanied truck traffic
